DESCRIPTION:
From pre-Hispanic times to the present, Mexico has added an impressive diversity of dishes, due to the amalgamation of techniques, ingredients and customs, both pre-Hispanic and Spanish inherited; As an example of this we have stuffed cheese, a Yucatecan preparation that combines a Dutch product, edam cheese, x-cat-ik and achiote for the preparation of the filling. There is also the cochinita pibil, which carries achiote and pork, an important pairing between the Mayan achiote and the pig brought from Spain.

The tour is designed to learn about the past and present of the Mayan culture through its gastronomy. The Mayan culture or civilization was developed by one of the most prominent pre-Columbian Mesoamerican peoples, whose beginnings are traced from the Preclassic Period (2000 BC - 250 AD) of the continent and its last vestiges until the Postclassic Period (900-1527 d. C.), when the Conquest of America took place.

DESCRIPTION:
There are different types of cenotes. Its classification is related to its age, you can find: open pit, semi-open and underground or in a grotto. The mature cenotes are those that you will be able to see completely open and the youngest ones are those that still keep their dome intact. On our tour we will visit cenotes and taste a great variety of tacos, one of the most emblematic dishes in Mexico.
